JEWISH HOSPITAL & ST. MARY’S HEALTHCARE Update 8/5/09

Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital (including the Emergency Department) and the Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital Surgery Center (including all outpatient procedures) remains closed today, Wednesday, August 5, 2009.  The Wound Care Center and outpatient rehab remain open.  Physician offices are also open in the various medical office buildings.

As of last night, 196 patients were discharged or transferred from Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. The breakdown was as follows:

·        Discharges:

o       39—home

·        Transfers to other facilities:

o       71—Jewish Hospital

o       45—Norton Audubon Hospital

o       39—various nursing homes or rehab facilities

o       1—Norton Hospital

o       1—Kindred Healthcare

• For information on Outpatient procedures and testing, please call Central Scheduling at (502) 587-4327.

• Physicians who have questions about patients who were transferred from Sts. Mary & Elizabeth should call (502) 271-7630.

• Team members should report as scheduled UNLESS contacted by their leader. Call (502) 363-1067 for more information.

Today we are focusing on assessing the damage in the basement level that housed our mechanicals and electrical support.
